
Well known to Chambly for his volunteer work in several associations, Patrice Andrevon has died on Friday December 20, at the age of 62. Nicknamed Païs, this former sailor will be missed in the Camblysian city where his generosity was appreciated by all. From football and badminton clubs to the Bois-Hourdy festivities, including the Association of Former Marines, many people have paid tribute to him on social networks.
Noël Muller, president of the Anciens mariners de Chambly knew him “since the age of 10“. He loses a childhood friend and also highlights his generosity. “He was a great guy, very kind and honest», he describes. “He was a person open to everything.» «Very helpful», adds his wife.
A career as a truck driver
After a military career in the navy, he was notably a veteran of the Gulf War, Patrice Andrevon became a truck driver. “He did between 3,000 and 3,500 km per week», recalls Noël Muller. Having been pre-retiring for a year, he had officially stopped working at the beginning of December. His salaried activity but not his dedication to local clubs and associations.
His funeral was celebrated on December 31. For the occasion, the Notre-Dame de Chambly church was packed. And all those who respected him were able to pay their last respects to Païs.
