As usual, the activists ofAVA (Let’s abolish hunting today) filmed the huntsmen in Compiègne forest. During the hunting on Saturday, January 4, they say the hunt extended beyond the authorized perimeter.
They explain that, around 1:30 p.m., AVA volunteers, “who constantly monitor these hunts,” received alerts. Residents of the municipality of Saint-Sauveur informed them that the deer was “in town”. The AVA believe that the animal passed through the gardens overlooking the forest, rue Aristide-Briand.

They add, in their post on the X network, that the deer jumped over one of the fences separating the forest from the private gardens. And that dogs from the pack got lost there while following the animal.
A hunting dog running in the garden
In this AVA video, we see a hunting dog running in the garden of a house on rue Aristide-Briand in Saint-Sauveur.
They post a video in which a hunting dog actually got lost in the garden of a property in Saint-Sauveur (above).
“AVA says anything, as usual, indicates Alain Drachcrew chief of the Forest of Friends. We had stopped hunting well before Saint-Sauveur. We only had four or five dogs left to recover…” The huntsman even maintains that: “If the dog ended up in this garden, it’s because it was put there by AVA activists.” With the aim of accusing hunting with hounds.
The mayor of Saint-Sauveur Claude Lebon contacted the police about this dog. “The dispute was resolved quickly, amicably,” said the mayor. No local resident has called me regarding this hunting incident. The police told me that the case was closed.” There is no anti-hunting decree in Saint-Sauveur.
According to AVA (photo), the deer passed through rue de la République in the direction of Saintines. Where he found his way to the forest.
