This Sunday, November 24 was the day elections in Vendeuil-Caplynear Breteuil in the Oise. Following resignations, including that of the mayor Guillaume Menardit was necessary to elect three new municipal councilors. It’s done with the entry of Camille Kastelyn, Thibaut Quentin and Aurélie Verleye to the municipal council.
A vote that delights Bernard Le Conte, the first deputy. “It was important to find younger elected officials on our council. They are 31, 37 and 40 years old. It is important for the future of the village. (…) And I am very happy that there was a competing list. It helps stimulate the election“, he congratulates.

Guillaume Ménard in the crosshairs of justice?
The former mayor, Guillaume Ménard, has not answered the phone for several weeks. In The Picardy Manhe announced his resignation “for health reasons“. Which offended some residents. Several sources (and not just residents) have indicated for some time that the resigning councilor would have problems with the law. A story of embezzlement.
Some even claim to have seen the police search his home. This has not yet been confirmed by the prosecution. Nor by Guillaume Ménard who does not respond. Nor by Bernard Le Conte who responds: “I stick to his reason. He has real health problems.» Which no one doubts.
