During the penultimate meeting of the municipal council of the year, the elected officials of Crépy-en-Valois discussed the report of the Regional Chamber of Accounts (CRC). But not only that. He also deliberated in favor of a modification of the statutes of the Community of communes of Pays de Valois (CCPV). This vote was unanimous. Therefore, the powers of the CCPV in terms of social action of community interest are now extended to the field of health with regard to working with professionals in order to unite them around local issues such as mental health, prevention or the provision of care. As such, the CCPV will be able to locally pilot the actions launched alongside the ARS, the regional health agency.
The municipal council therefore took note of the report and the response provided by the city to the CRC). The observations made by the Chamber concern three main aspects relating to governance, purchasing and public order policy and reliability and financial analysis.
Better control of costs
Implicit in these three points is the city’s ability to generate its own funding for its projects. The CRC thus points to the increase in management costs for the municipality, and recommends better control of costs as well as better allocation of its resources.
The council followed its recommendations regarding the pooling of resources when it validated the renewal of the pooling of the municipal police service with the municipalities of Ormoy-Villers and Vaumoise for the year 2025. “The municipal police are thus expanding their scope of intervention for arrests, for example,” explained Virginie Douat, mayor of the town. Along the same lines, the municipal police service has been extended to the municipalities of Duvy and Morienval, on an experimental basis for the year 2025.
Aid for associations
The council then voted for a series of aid to associations starting with the work carried out on the heating system in the premises of the billiard club. Cécilia Rugala, sports assistant, proposed aid of 2,583 euros for exceptional investments.
The “Books and You” festival, which returns in 2025, has for its part been the subject of a partnership agreement with the CCPV. In this context, the latter undertakes to pay 3000 euros to the municipality in order to partially finance the meetings between authors and students.
Concerning the weekly bulletin for the municipality broadcast by Radio Valois Multien (RVM), the city has committed to helping the association to the tune of 10,000 euros to carry out renovation and extension work on its premises. The region should also help with financing for a total of 185,000 euros.
Rainflight zoning is now annexed to the PLU
Another point raised: that concerning rainwater management in which the city has been investing for several years. Rainflight zoning is now annexed to the local town planning plan which helps protect the town against flooding. The municipal council authorized the mayor of Crépy-en-Valois to request help from the Seine-Normandie water agency for this operation, which is estimated at 237,000 euros.
At the conclusion of this council, elected officials voted to use temporary workers for various missions such as the distribution of Crépymag’, recruitment for the media library and the archery and Valois museum for the year 2025.
