This tool will protect the 18,000 inhabitants of the 25 municipalities in the region. But also users of the A1 motorway, between exits 10 and 11. Friday December 13 at Moyvillersthe authorities have inaugurated the new rescue center of the Estrées plain.
“This event was awaited, with patience sometimes full of doubt, by our 60 Dionysian firefighters,” declares the president of Sdis de l’Oise Eric de Valroger. It demonstrates our desire to improve and modernize our heritage.”
More than 3.3 million euros have been committed to bring “this beautiful project” to fruition. This center responds to “the challenges of today and tomorrow”. “From its design to the completion of its construction, regulatory constraints in terms of hygiene and safety were at the heart of our concerns,” continues Eric de Valroger. As well as technological advances and our desire to include this project in a sustainable development approach.”
“Spacious, functional, modern”
This place now offers a “spacious, functional and modern” working environment for our firefighters and young firefighters. They took possession of the place a month ago and have already made their mark.
The new rescue center will also constitute a space for training, sharing and conviviality. “Where each and every one of them can prepare, train, exchange, recharge their batteries… and share the values of mutual aid that drive them,” comments the president of Sdis. He hopes that it will generate “new vocations to swell the ranks of its workforce”.
A thought for the firefighters of Compiègne victims of mortar fire
Eric de Valroger, on behalf of the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service, thanks the elected officials of Moyvillers, “who worked to allocate the land and establish this center”.
He includes in his thanks the sub-prefect, and Nadège Lefebvre, president of the Oise department. “For your loyal financial support in the various real estate projects that have followed one another since 2017,” he specifies. And which allows the Oisian firefighters to see their work tools transformed and optimized.”
Finally, he thanks all the firefighters present. Eric de Valroger also has a thought for the Compiègne firefighters, victims of mortar fire. “A mortar entered their van and injured one of them,” he said. Hoping that “the perpetrators will be identified, arrested and severely punished”.
