A police couple victim of firework mortar shots has Nanteuil-le-Haudouin. The Senlis public prosecutor has opened a flagrant investigation into aggravated violence.
Entrusted to the Senlis gendarmerie company, the investigation follows the firing of fireworks mortars which took place on the night of Tuesday January 7 to Wednesday January 8 at the home of a couple of police officers living in Nanteuil-le-Haudouin.
“Thanks to investigations carried out with the greatest speed”, the gendarmes identified and arrested the alleged perpetrator on January 8, at 4 p.m. “The alleged instigator of this attack” was also arrested on Thursday January 9.
A 32-year-old man and a 15-year-old arrested
They are a 32-year-old adult, already convicted by the courts, and a 15-year-old minor. Currently in police custody, they are being questioned by investigators “on the modalities of this attack, as well as on their motivations”.
The courts will decide on potential proceedings against them from Friday January 10, “at the end of the investigations carried out”. The two defendants remain presumed innocent.
Offenses committed against “persons holding public authority” or “responsible for public service missions” give rise to “systematic investigations,” concludes the prosecutor. And to some of the most repressive penal guidelines provided for by law.”
