The file is now on the desk of the Public Prosecutor. Loïc Abrial, in charge of the Senlis criminal hub, now has one month to present his requisitions. The procedure therefore continues its course after the end of the judicial investigation concerning the brutal death of Jean-Christophe Pielwhich occurred in 2021. This physiotherapist from Liancourt was shot in the neck in front of his home in Breuil-le-Vert.
The Senlis Public Prosecutor’s Office thus confirms information from Courrier Picard: the investigating judge in charge of this multifaceted case recently ended his investigations and those of the police officers from the Amiens research section. The Oise criminal prosecution service must present its guidelines with a view to possible prosecution.
Shot down in 2021
Which does not mean, however, that a trial before the Assize Court or the Oise Criminal Court will take place very soon. After the prosecutor’s analysis, the investigating judge will have to evaluate it before formulating, or not, a referral. The lawyers of the various people involved will also be able to make observations, or even challenge future decisions before the investigating chamber.
The violent death of Jean-Christophe Piel, the arrest of his wife, Delphine Pinto, and two possible accomplices, revealed a particularly complicated, even sordid, family situation. On August 24, 2021, Jean-Christophe Piel, physiotherapist in Liancourt, died after a serious gunshot wound. Someone shot him in front of his home in Breuil-le-Vert with a bullet to the back of the head.
Accusations of sexual assault
After a few weeks, suspicion fell on Delphine Pinto, the victim’s wife. The couple, married in 2012, had been divorcing since 2018 amid accusations of sexual assault against one of the couple’s daughters, as well as the woman’s other children.
The first case was dismissed. Concerning the second, a dismissal in the case of the alleged sexual assault of his eldest daughter had been pronounced in his favor in mid-August 2021. Jean-Christophe Piel was killed the day before he was to regain the right to see his two daughters again.
Arrested in 2022
Delphine Pinto has already had trouble with the law before her marriage. The reason: she had raised funds to “provide for the needs” of one of her sons, supposedly suffering from a serious illness. An illness which, ultimately, was much less than what was announced.
The police arrested Delphine Pinto in February 2022. As well as two men, Bylell Hamrouni, presented as a lover of Delphine Pinto, and a friend of his, Yassine Zekri. The three suspects were imprisoned and have since been indicted. If tried, they risk life imprisonment. Delphine Pinto, Bylell Hamrouni and Yassine Zekri remain presumed innocent of the charges against them.
