They wanted to express their opposition to the project of establishing lagoon of methanization digestate Markéglise near Ressons-sur-Matz. Around seventy people gathered on the evening of Friday December 6 in front of town hall. “No to other people’s shit”, “Slurry pool which will piss us off”, “No brown on our paths”, “Indigestible digestate”: the demonstrators did not beat… around the bush when it came time to find the slogan of their signs. Despite the cold December weather, they gathered around a giant barbecue with comforting warmth.
“It went very well, it gives you the strength to continue,” explained the organizers of the CollectifMarquéglise improvised last month when the project was made known to as many people as possible. The demonstrators, who already benefit from the support of the mayor of the town, Guillaume Pinel, and his municipal council, also received a visit from the former NFP candidate for the legislative elections, Baptiste de Fresse de Monval, and the mayor of Baugy, Jean -Claude Darcy.
New actions to come
The morning of this demonstration, a meeting brought together the RN deputy Michel Guiniot, the mayor of the town and the sub-prefect in the town hall.
A new demonstration is planned for Wednesday December 11. The association also announces that it wants to “contact the project leaders for a meeting” before then. In the meantime, almost everywhere in the village, coffins began to appear on the homes of Marquéglise with the words: “House for sale”.
The fight against the lagoon and its feared pollution is not over.
