From November 25 to December 9 will take place professional elections for VSE employees (Very small businesses) and home-based employees. Fairly little-known elections, yet in place since 2010. “During the last elections, we traveled 1,600 km by truck, put up 1,400 posters and gave 3,000 leaflets, just in Beauvaisis», remembers José Bailadeira, general secretary of the local CGT union in Beauvaisis. So that finally alone 2,606 employees are participating in this election in Oise, on the 46,008 registered. Or only 5.66%.
So this Saturday, November 16, around ten members of the CGT (General Confederation of Labor), the leading trade union organization in small businesses, towed in the city center of Beauvais, at the corner of rue Louvet and place Jeanne-Hachette. “We have been on the market since October 12 and until November 30, we want to raise awareness among the population above all“, proclaims José Bailadeira. And stay number one. During the last elections, the CGT won with 24% of the votes in Oise, 26% in France.

It goes from the hairdresser to the baker to the mason.»
In the Oise, this still represents 16,395 companiesof which 4,126 in Beauvaisis alone. “It’s very important to voteinsists the general secretary of the local CGT union in Beauvaisis. Since 2010, many sector agreements have been reached. Unfortunately, these elections are not well known enough.”
