Santa Ana, CA – July, 2024 – The high school football season is knocking, and Mater Dei (California) stands at the top of the 2024 High School Football America (HSFA) 100 national high school football rankings.
Dominance in the Golden State
Mater Dei achieved four national titles since 2017, they are already to the spotlight. They are starting their 2024 campaign with high expectations and a challenging schedule. The Monarchs will host a match of Bishop Gorman (Nevada) with Mater Dei (California) on September 6, a super exciting match of the season. Before this match, Mater Dei will face Corona Centennial (California) in their season opener. IMG Academy (Florida) maintains their status as a football powerhouse,ranked at 4th. With eight games against teams in the HSFA 300, the Ascenders’ schedule is packed with high-stakes matchups. St. John Bosco (California), Mater Dei’s arch-rival, aims to reclaim their top spot, setting up an intense showdown on October 25.

DeSoto (Texas) comes in at 6th position, followed closely by Duncanville (Texas) at No. 8. The Eagles and Panthers are set for an October 11 clash that will likely have significant playoff implications. St. Thomas Aquinas (Florida) holds the No. 7 spot, while Georgia’s Milton rounds out the top 10 at 9th.
