Manager of the Ferme du Préhas Éragny-sur-Epte (Oise), Bertrand Domet is also a motorcycle enthusiast. With his brother Arnaud, he is competing in the Dakar in Saudi Arabia, one of the most prestigious races in the world.
Unfortunately, for his second participation after 2009, the 41-year-old driver had to abandon the fifth stage. He finished 82nd in the prologue on Friday January 3, 105th on the first stage, 71st on the second, 82nd on the third and 109th on the fourth. He was then 101st in the general classification, out of 122 drivers still entered at that time.
His brother also gives up
His younger brother Arnaud, meanwhile, gave up during the seventh stage. The Domet brothers will therefore do no better than in 2009, when they crossed the finish line of the Dakar (in Argentina at the time) alongside their father Philippe, in 83rd place for Bertrand and in 85th place for Arnaud.
