THE deputy of the third constituency of Oise (Creil–Chambly–Meru) is currently at Washington (United States of America) on the occasion of Inauguration Day, theinauguration of President Donald Trump.
He will not attend the ceremony inside the Capitol
According to information from Courrier Picard, the parliamentarian was invited to the United States for the inauguration of the 47th President of the United States this Monday, January 20.
Exceptionally, this ceremony will not be held outside on the steps of the Capitol in Washington due to weather conditions. The temperatures felt there oscillate around -10 degrees. Due to this intense cold, the inauguration ceremony will take place inside the Capitol under the Rotunda.
But the member for Oise will not have the opportunity to see President Trump take the oath on the Bible (around 12 p.m. in Washington, around 6 p.m. French time). Inside, only members of Congress will be present.
