Things are moving in terms of mobility in the Valois region. In fact, since this Thursday, January 2, the free municipal bus Crépy-en-Valoisknown as Cypregets a new look and becomes Mobi. The service is redesigned to better meet the needs of users. Despite this, it remains free, accessible and guarantees a passage every 20 minutes.
This name change is accompanied by the creation of a sector dedicated to mobility within the Community of communes of Pays de Valois (CCPV) with the great ambitions of making travel more understandable and more accessible. The creation of this sector does not stop at simply replacing Cypré. It also includes the arrival of Mobi bike in Valois for soft mobility as well as Mobi on demand, for transport on demand. We are therefore witnessing a real breath of fresh air on mobility in the Valois.
In close collaboration with RATP and Oise Mobility
Regarding the replacement of the Cypré by Mobi urban bus, the CCPV mobility team worked in close collaboration with the RATP and Oise Mobility in order to match the timetable of these buses with that of the trains arriving and departing in Crépy-en-Valois station. The goal? Stop any concordance problems that could previously bother users. In addition, new stops as well as new neighborhoods will be served.
All these new features are part of the Simplified Mobility Plan (PdMS) implemented in the region in order to provide concrete alternatives to car journeys deemed too polluting. “We observed that the people of Crépy took the car even for short trips within the city, this had to be remedied,” confides Delphine Luc, the head of communications at the intercommunality. This system is therefore above all an eco-responsible and sustainable approach. This is demonstrated by the fact that four out of seven vehicles run on HVO, a green, plant-based fuel.
New colors and typographies
Among these four vehicles, two are brand new. These, as well as all the old ones, have been brought up to date by adopting the new colors and typographies which are those of Mobi urban bus.
It’s not just the vehicles that have been refreshed. The stops will now have at least two signs: one with the name of the stop and the direction of the bus, the other with the timetable and the link to the mobile application (Oise Mobility).
Other initiatives: making traveler’s notebooks available in more than 35 points of sale in the city, from waiting rooms to driving schools and supermarkets. It will be very easy to obtain one for the Crépynois.
Towards an extension of the lines
Cypré saw 363,199 users use its lines in 2024, i.e. 66,582 more passengers than in 2023.
Mobi urban bus currently only includes Crépy-en-Valois. But the CCPV already aims to extend it to the south of the area by the end of 2025, for example by connecting with other stations and activity zones in the intermunicipal territory.
