“We would not have committed these sums for nothing.” During the greeting ceremony, Friday January 10, the mayor of Bubbles Sylvie Masset wanted to silence the rumor once and for all. No, the post office municipal is not going to close. The proof is the work carried out inside.
“expenses before work: 23,382 euros”, lists the elected official. “Additional work with painting of 12,563 euros was added.” So, the Post Office is here to stay.
Library and roads for 2025
Among the other works discussed during the evening, Sylvie Masset talks about the rehabilitation of the library. “The building permit has been accepted,” announces the elected official. Amount of the operation: 577,469 euros. “There would remain 117,000 euros payable by the municipality,” specifies the mayor of this small commune in Plateau Picard.
Other projects where the files must be finalized before the first groundbreaking: road work in the hamlet of Lorteil. This, for 130,000 euros. Or the creation of Rainwater Recovery on Rue Massin, Rue des Telliers and Rue Cornet for 13,486 euros. Sylvie Masset also evokes a reflection on road safety.
Subsidies before starting work
“We are aware of your needs and your requests which are very often legitimate,” continues Sylvie Masset. “But the satisfaction of carrying out these projects and carrying them out comes up against a very tense financial context that we are experiencing: this is, moreover, the difficulty of the task that is ours.”
And to conclude: “We must control our spending, arbitrations are necessary, difficult decisions are necessary and it is not with joy that we cancel or postpone projects. As elected officials, we are still waiting for grants to begin the work.”
