This Friday evening, November 29, a ceremony was organized in the town hall to pay tribute to four graduates of theBeauvais fencing academy. Bianca Benea, Mélissa Goram, Camille Hermayet and Tessa Goriaux have just been crowned European club champions per team. This is the second time that the ABE has achieved this recognition after 2019.
For the occasion, the municipality rolled out the red carpet in the rooms of the town hall. Bianca Benea, who carried the finishing touch, was selected for a new competition. But her three teammates were present and had the right to a guard of honor by the young members of the club. Just like their coach Jules Colignon.
The mayor announces an increase in subsidies
The president of the Beauvais Fencing Academy Karine Mortecrette shared her pride in seeing the club’s good results continue. She also recalled that a women’s team is currently competing in the Under-20 World Cup in Germany.
