For the first time since the start of his trial before the assizes of the OiseAdama Coulibaly, accused of kidnapping and sequestration followed by death, speaks on the facts with which he is accused, this Wednesday, November 27.
This is the penultimate day of this criminal hearing where the objective is to find out the circumstances of the death ofElijah Bougrer-Cinq-Valwhose body was found horribly mutilated on theA1up to Pontarméon September 24, 2020 after falling from a car traveling at more than 100 kilometers/hour.
A moment eagerly awaited by all the actors and the opportunity to Adama Coulibaly to tell his truth: a truth tinged with blatant inconsistencies.
“We had to talk about suicide…”
His voice monotone, surprisingly calm, he looks back on the chronology of that evening: “I was at home when Wesley Askri called me to tell me he was coming and asked me to go with him to find Jason Pinot. Wesley then ordered us to give him our cell phones because he had been the victim of a scam to the credit card and he wanted to know if we had photos of these credit cards. Then, Jason Pinot claimed that it was Elijah Bougrer-Cinq-Val who did it and we went to get him. He got in the car and we headed towards the A1 motorway. In Elijah Bougrer-Cinq-Val’s phone, there were indeed these images and Wesley got confused with him. Without me being able to intervene because I didn’t see anything, Elijah jumped out of the moving car. Wesley and Jason then said that we needed to talk about a suicide and let nothing be said about the argument Wesley Askri was like crazy, I had never seen him like that. I still wonder why Elijah Bougrer-Cinq-Val threw himself out the door…”
“Adama Coulibaly was the most aggressive…”
On several occasions, the president of the Assize Court tried to obtain details on the presence in particular of a gaseous woman in the car without having any real success and emphasized that Jason Pinot had declared during his hearing that Adama Coulibaly was the most aggressive and that he had a baton: a weapon which was never found.
Previously, the parents, brothers and sisters of Elijah Bougrer-Cinq-Val took the stand to paint a moving portrait of the victim while maintaining exceptional dignity. Women and men who want to finally have answers about the circumstances that led their son, their brother to lose their life in a September night.
