With increasing attendance and a significant number of major events organized throughout the year, the Chantilly castle became in 2024 one of the sites cultural and tourist the most fashionable in our country.
“With 546,824 visitors welcomed in 2024 (compared to 522,693 visitors welcomed the previous year, i.e. +4.6% compared to 2023), the Château de Chantilly confirms its status as a cultural destination and event leading company in France, confides one of the site managers. Thanks to a rich and varied program, prestigious events and institutional partnerships, the castle has established itself as one of the most visited sites in Hauts-de-France. Commercial revenues (ticketing, privatizations, shops and concessions) amount to 10.52 million euros.” A figure which does not include sponsorship revenue, nor revenue from real estate and forestry products…
An ambitious program
“In 2024, the Château de Chantilly shined thanks to an ambitious program and significant events, between nature, culture and a certain art of living,” estimates Anne Miller, the general administrator of the Château de Chantilly. These successes, which are part of our mission to offer the best to as many people as possible, are the result of the remarkable collaborative work of the château’s teams. In 2025, we will follow this same trajectory by offering stimulating projects and ever more immersive experiences, to continue to enchant each visit and promote our unique heritage in the world as it deserves.”
Foreign audiences are on the rise
Overall attendance at the château in the south of the Oise has been steadily increasing since 2019 (excluding COVID years). In 2024, excluding private events, 475,068 visitors explored the castle, the park, the Great Stables and discovered the exhibitions and key events (compared to 461,747 visitors in 2023). More than 73% of visitors were French, including 38% residents of Oise. The foreign audience is up compared to 2023, mainly coming from Belgium, the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany.
There is no doubt that events like the one broadcast on December 31 on TF1 – with a sumptuous fireworks display – are likely to further improve the visibility of one of the most beautiful jewels of our department.
