“I invite all elected officials, all associations, to ignore the RN deputy.” THE socialist Bertrand Brassens reacts “to the edifying behavior of the new deputy RN Vos and his friends against Renaud Bourgeois, mayor of Cuise-la-Motte”.
A few days ago, the RN deputy for the 5th constituency of Compiègne-Valois shared a video on Facebook. He denounced the fact of not having been invited to the Cuise-la-Motte vows. In the process, the mayor in question was the subject of comments that could characterize threats towards his person.
“The threats received by the mayor and his family from the MP’s groupies heated by him are despicable,” continues Bertrand Brassens. It seems that the socialist has already solved the ongoing investigation…
“A mayor is completely free to invite whoever he wants to his wishes, whether or not they are private,” believes Bertrand Brassens. Nothing obliges him to invite the deputy!” On this, Bertrand Brassens is right: he has never held back from inviting himself wherever he wants, even though he no longer has a mandate.
“I respect the voters of the RN,” explains Bertrand Brassens, who will play a role for the left in the municipal elections in Compiègne. But I politically fight this party and its values. In this sense, he stands out from the socialist minister François Rebsamen, who says he “respects all parties, except the RN”.
But regarding what he thinks of Frédéric-Pierre Vos, it is very different. “With this new RN deputy, who beat me in the second round of the June legislative elections, with the support of “his friend Marini”, we have what is most reprehensible in the RN.” Philippe Marini did not actually support Bertrand Brassens, whom he does not like, in the 5th constituency. On the other hand, in the 6th constituency, he supported his opponent UDI in Compiègne against the RN Michel Guiniot.
In the last legislative elections, 24,669 RN voters compared to 19,575 for the united left
“One minister even spoke of ‘shame’ about him,” insists socialist Bertrand Brassens, without specifying which minister. He therefore suggests to residents and associations to ignore the RN deputy. And too bad for the 24,669 voters in the 5th district of Oise voted for RN Frédéric-Pierre Vos (i.e. 55.76%). While 19,575 votes went to the socialist Bertrand Brassens, representative of the united left.
Bertrand Brassens recommends that citizens “trust their elected and former elected officials from the Republican left or right”. Well yes, but the voters voted for Frédéric-Pierre Vos. “These former Republican elected officials are still alongside elected officials, associations and residents,” he concludes. For my part, everyone, without exception, can still count on me to represent them with dignity and effectively on the ground. And in the National Assembly.” He is therefore also thinking about the next legislative elections.
We will see if this positioning of “ignoring the RN” will allow the left to come to power…
