There departmental commercial development commission (CDAC) of theOise just returned a favorable opinion at the request ofenlargement formulated by Super U has Thourotte. Ultimately, the store should see its sales area increase.
An expansion for the store and the drive
In October, SCI Oisimmo submitted an extension request for the Super U store in Thourotte. The CDAC has just issued a favorable opinion. This demand should allow this store to see its sales area increase from 3,500 to 4,200 square meters. An extension and restructuring of the commercial cells of the shopping mall is also part of this project. Thus, the sales area of the shopping mall should reach 639 square meters compared to 387 currently. The U Drive order preparation and storage room should see its surface area increase by 49 square meters.
Renaturation of 1,020 square meters
To justify its favorable opinion on this request, the CDAC recalls that the project provides for the renaturation of 1,020 square meters thanks to the artificialization of an area into open green space. In the parking lot, a 5,572 square meter photovoltaic shade area is also planned covering 194 parking spaces. The project also plans to plant 120 trees, numerous shrubs and a 70-meter hedge.
Another argument, the CDAC believes that the expansion of the Super U in Thourotte will “improve shopping comfort by widening circulation spaces”.
The CDAC of Oise issued a favorable opinion with five votes in favor and two votes against. Didier Malé (president of ROSO, environmental defense federation of the Oise department) and Gérard Sébastien (qualified person in consumer protection) voted against.
