As announced by President Patrice Carvalho during his greetings, the Community of Communes of Two Valleys (CC2V) will launch work on the pool intermunicipal agreement awaited for years. Before the start of the work, the CC2V therefore offers “residents the opportunity to discover the model of the project and ask all their questions during an information point,” she informs. The meeting is set for Thursday January 23 at 6 p.m. in the CC2V community room in Thourotte.
Replace the old Bonichot
This investment will replace the Georges Bonichot swimming pool, open since 1978, recall the Deux Vallées. A swimming pool “which no longer meets today’s needs and standards”.
In 2020, CC2V launched a new project, and selected, in December 2021, the project proposed by the architectural firm Z Architecture. The future swimming pool will be located in the Gros Grelot activity zone in Thourotte (near Brico Dépôt).
“After two years of studies, the consultation to choose the companies which will carry out the work has been finalized”, recalls the Deux Vallées which announces “18 months of work”. And an opening for 2026.
“The future swimming pool will meet the objective of elected officials to encourage learning to swim and meet the needs of families,” concludes the CC2V in its press release.
