Météo France promises “a busy Saturday”. A depression, called Darragh, circulating over England and the North Sea, will bring violent winds to France during the night of Friday December 6 to Saturday December 7. The western and northern half of France is placed on yellow alert for strong winds for the day Saturday between 4 a.m. and 10 p.m.
Winds up to 100 km/h
“During the morning, wind gusts of around 100 to 120 km/h are expected on the extensive coastline of Hauts-de-France. In the interior of the region, gusts should reach 80 to 90 km/h, locally 100 km/h,” forecasters explain.
Météo France does not rule out an increase in vigilance if the situation were to intensify.
