A week after her announcement, she became reality. The president of the country of Clermontois Lionel Ollivier had recently announced the opening annexes to the Clermont -based health center based. The first opens its doors Tuesday, February 4 in Neuilly-sous-Clermont.
“There were four bistros before, but, from memory, never a doctor in the town,” comments Mayor Christophe Chemin. Since then, the four bistros have closed their doors. But, from now on, the village now has a doctor.
Do not call the town hall!
Two civil servants must take turns every Tuesday, all day. The meeting place: “This is an old meeting room, of which we have little use,” continues Christophe Chemin. “The entrance is by the ground floor of the town hall. There is a corridor that acts as a waiting room. The doctor comes to pick up the patient. ” And once the consultation is completed, it leaves the premises through a door overlooking the town hall car park.
Only one instruction to remember, however. Do not call the town hall of Neuilly-sous-Clermont to make an appointment. “We still had two calls this Monday,” reveals the mayor. It is imperative to contact the Clermont health center.
Premises made available
The appendix is not only intended for the inhabitants of Neuilly-sous-Clermont. But also those of the nearby villages, both members of the community of communes and those beyond. “External patients represent around 30% of the activity,” says Lionel Ollivier.
Ultimately, other annexes should be created. “We have launched a call for candidates,” says Lionel Ollivier. “Neuilly answered it, as well as Arquery and Agnetz.” Added to this is the multidisciplinary health center of Bury. “We simply ask for the provision of premises and we take charge of its development,” continues the inter -municipal elected official.
Insolent health
The development of these annexes goes hand in hand with hiring within the inter -municipal health center. This must accommodate two new professionals by August and November. This will bring the service of the service to seven full -time equivalents.
Since its opening in 2023, the Clermontois country health center has displayed insolent health. In particular with 10,500 consultations carried out in 2024.
