Éric Warlouzet died a few days before the end of the year. The town decided to pay him a civil and republican tribute this Wednesday, January 8.
It was a tradition for several decades, the ceremony of the wishes of the Elders was systematically held on the first Sunday of the month of January. However, with the unexpected and sudden death of the chief magistrate Éric Warlouzet, the ceremony is of course canceled.
Elected officials and the population wanted to pay special tribute to their mayor. This will therefore be Wednesday January 8. From 10:30 a.m., a civil, republican tribute will be held in the Saint-Georges hall, a stone’s throw from the town hall.
It seemed important for the particularly united municipal team to pay this tribute to the man who became mayor in 2020 and who has been involved in the community of communes of the Pays d’Oise and Halatte for several years.
Several members of the intermunicipality will be present, and in particular mayors of neighboring municipalities with whom Éric Warlouzet got along particularly well.
Discreet, he even had the image of a “silent person”. But he also had a very pronounced sense of humor. From his territory, he not only had the knowledge of the terrain, but the desire to master each of the defended files at his fingertips.
