Nearly a year and a half aftercollapse two facades on the square Saint-Frambourg has Senlisthe situation finally seems to be moving forward. The town hall, the victims and the insurers are working on a transactional agreement to finance repairs.
Disaster victims quickly relocated
THE November 8, 2023two facades of houses located on Place Saint-Frambourg collapsed. This event left several people without housing, they were taken to the Ibis hotel in Senlis for a few days, before all finding alternative housing. The town hall reassures “There was a monitoring procedure for each of the evicted people, today, they are all rehoused. No one is in distress.” 1 Place Saint-Frambourg also had two establishments open to the public (EPR), a physiotherapist and a midwife without a place to practice.
Physiotherapist Stéphane Petit was transferred to municipal premises in the Ordener district, a site which has just been renovated. It is therefore installed in brand new offices. Although these premises are normally reserved for micro-enterprises, an exemption has been granted to respond to the emergency. “We had a month of uncertainty without an office, because it was too dangerous to recover the equipment, but the support was responsive.”
Work that drags on
At the time of the events, the tendency to know that it was the cause of this accident was turning towards the fragility of basements dating from the Middle Ages. So when 14 months later, the time came to ask the town hall the question about what was the cause of the collapse, the director of the city’s technical services replied “we don’t know and we will never be the causes. ”.
It is therefore impossible to accuse a particular actor and make him pay. Consequently, a transactional protocol was launched with local residents and insurers in order to find an amicable solution and share the costs. For the moment, nothing has been signed, it is still time for negotiations. The mayor remains optimistic, during these wishes “A transactional agreement is being signed in order to carry out road work and reconstruction by 2025.”
