The municipality of Saint-Vaast-de-Longmontequipped will integrate the Intercommunal Supervision Center (CSI). The president of the Agglo (ARC) of Compiègne Philippe Marini and the mayor of this commune of 640 inhabitants signed this agreement on the video surveillance. It will come into force from January 1, 2025. The Agglomeration Council has just adopted this report.
The 7 “video protection” cameras (elected officials prefer to use this name) in this municipality will therefore join the 395 others scattered among the fifteen others covered by the CSI.
This reduces the cost of support, calculated according to the number of cameras and residents of the municipality.
Operators observe the cameras from Hauts de Margny
“Since its creation in 2015, the Intercommunal Supervision Center (CSI) has been developing throughout the territory,” notes Philippe Marini, mayor of Compiègne. It becomes more and more efficient as technological developments progress.”
To observe the cameras, the CSI relies on operators. They collaborate with investigators “to facilitate the resolution of judicial investigations using the data collected”. The supervision center is located in the Hauts de Margny area.
Here are the 15 municipalities already attached to the CSI (in parentheses their number of cameras and their number of inhabitants): Compiègne (123 cameras, 40,394 inhabitants), Margny-lès-Compiègne (26 cameras, 8,716 inhabitants), Clairoix (45 cameras, 40,394 inhabitants), 2232 inhabitants), Lacroix-Saint-Ouen (58 cams, 4978 inhabitants), Choisy-au-Bac (18 cams, 3322 inhabitants), Bienville (12 cams, 423 inhabitants), Janville (13 cams, 641 inhabitants), Armancourt (9 cams, 535 inhabitants), Jonquières (9 cams, 596 inhabitants), Jaux (20 cams, 2264 inhabitants), Lachelle (9 cams, 793 inhabitants), Saint-Jean-aux-Bois (8 cam, 332 inhabitants), Saint-Sauveur (8 cam, 1743 inhabitants), Béthisy-Saint-Pierre (30 cam, 3135 inhabitants).
