Jean Doisy died on Sunday November 10. For many Maximon residents, this is a serious page turning. He was mayor from 1995 to 2001 and left the image of a person committed to his city, quite visionary and seeking by many means to reindustrialize the city. He had to deal with the closure of several businesses, causing an increase in poverty and the unemployment rate in the city. Around him, he was able to unite the PS, the Pcf, the Prg and the Greens. He was on call for a dozen hours per week, which allowed him to meet and resolve the problems of one thousand to one thousand two hundred administered per year. He was keen on this place of proximity between the elected official and the inhabitants.
An executive in the Cerabati company, he was a municipal councilor for almost thirty years and mayor for almost ten years. The subjects that were close to his heart are surprisingly still relevant today. Although he saw the installation of the Intermarché in the heart of the industrial wasteland (an installation that he praised without moderation), a convinced socialist, he always rebelled against a lack: that of a high school in this living area. And then the mayor wanted to try to resolve the traffic difficulties in the city center. A subject that is still current, indeed. He was considering, at that time and it was even a campaign promise, to think about a new bridge. An additional bridge… Note that this idea has still not been abandoned by the current municipality. Leading the renovation of the conservatory is also him. He also had a project: to initiate a study for land dedicated to welcoming travelers.
In 2001, following the elections, he ceded his seat to Antoine Aubrée. Sitting in opposition, it went rather badly. Jean Doisy slammed the door after having repeatedly noted the recurring disagreements with this new mayor, who was sentenced a few years later to ten years of eligibility.
He followed the politics of his city very closely, but he also fought against illness. Jean Doisy was 77 years old. The funeral will be celebrated at the Pont-Sainte-Maxence cemetery on Monday, November 18, 2024 at 3:30 p.m.
According to these last wishes, no flowers, no wreaths, no plaque, no speeches, simply an urn to make donations in favor of the fight against cancer.
