The Senate approved the bill to establish the National Day of Urban Suburbs. Born on the initiative of Forza Italia, the measure was approved by the Chamber on 26 June therefore it is law.
68 senators voted in favor, none against and 48 abstentions, including Avs who, with Peppe De Cristofaro, announced in the chamber that from now on he will no longer vote on any measure establishing a day, having counted so far about thirty and another 50 in I arrive.
Objective of the Day, we read in the first article of the law, “preserve and renew attention on the conditions of inclusiveness, sustainability and safety, on economic, social and cultural development and on the quality of life of cities and their suburbs”.
The text provides that the day is celebrated on June 24th of each year, which corresponds to the day ofmurder of Fortuna Loffredothe six-year-old girl who in 2014 was thrown from the building where she lived in Caivano, near Naples, from a neighbor who had been abusing her for some time.
