The town of Noyon and its now unmissable general director of services continue to play spoilsport at Christmas. A few minutes after the publication of our article dedicated to the Christmas market of merchant Caroline Chaouch “Mr. Chokri Mastouri called me very angry, explaining that he did not understand why we had made an article about it,” underlines the trader. “He told me that he thought that the question of the keys and the inventory of the premises had been resolved, that we had a meeting on Saturday morning as promised.” Except that the rental contract for the room to organize the Christmas market stipulates “from Friday 5 p.m.”. The merchant needs at least this to prepare the decoration and installation before the arrival of the sellers on Saturday morning. She threatened to sue if the contract was not honored. She went to the police station on Friday morning to have a handrail done.
“I didn’t let it happen”
“Then, he wanted to change the rental contract, except that I explained to him that it was legally too late, I did not let it happen,” continues Caroline Chaouch. Finally, the city and the businesswoman agreed on a happy medium, which also puts the municipality at fault: “They are going to give me the keys on Friday at 10 p.m., I will have to work late, too bad… »
“After the article, I had a lot of people contact me to find out if the market was going to hold up well,” explains the manager of the Bubble Crock store. The message is: yes, we are going to do this Christmas market.” In terms of products, we will notably find leather goods, magnetic patches and jewelry, personalized items for babies, hosiery, etc. Activities will also be planned for children. Around thirty exhibitors will be present.
The Mont-Saint-Siméon Christmas market (at the neighborhood center) will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, November 30 and Sunday, December 1 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Well… only if the town hall decides to keep its word and not spoil Christmas…
