The office of the president of the Departmental Council of Oise recognizes the existence of a note which aims to sink the newspaper Oise Hebdo using pirate means. Oise Hebdo revealed yesterday, Monday January 20, the existence of a secret note aimed at sabotaging Oise Hebdo. It’s a plan to put the newspaper “in immense difficulty.” Or better: “to blow it up now”, indicates this note from the Departmental Council. In an interview with Courrier Picardthe president’s office indicates: “This document exists.”
Two-part destruction plan
The plan to destroy the newspaper is divided into two parts.
The first aims to recover the title “Oise Hebdo” from the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI). The Departmental Council noticed, which is true, that the title deposited with the INPI had not been renewed.
“Oise Hebdo is a trademark registered with the INPI, indicates the note, but its expiration date has passed. Vincent Gérard has undoubtedly forgotten. By buying it back, or redepositing it, they would no longer have the right to use the name, either for print or for the web, which would undoubtedly put them in immense difficulty.”
The second part aims to recover the domain name: oisehebdo.fr
This is about “repurchasing the domain name before they renew it to prevent them from publishing online”. They think it would be “fun.”
But they have even better: “Unless someone knows a hacker (who) could take it upon themselves to blow it up right now.”
This would put Oise Hebdo “terribly in embarrassment”.
The admission of the departmental council
“ This document exists and was entirely drawn up by the person who is currently the subject of dismissal proceedings. (…) there was no order placed with the aim of harming a press organization », Affirms the management of the Department, we read in the Courrier Picard.
At the same time, the firm acknowledges having asked the employee to resolve the dispute between the community and Oise Hebdo. “ It was discussed with this collaborator informally to find solutions to the disputes with the media Oise Hebdo, which are public knowledge, and whose proposals were written by this person. This document, submitted on October 16, 2024, more than three months ago, was not followed up by any member of the Cabinet. », Continues Nadège Lefebvre’s entourage via press release.
“ I was commissioned to bring down the newspaper », confides on the contrary the collaborator in question.
We must destroy Oise Hebdo!
She says that the great anger of the president of the General Council was born after a article written by Frédéric Normand, editor-in-chief of Oise Hebdo, after the annual congress of mayors of Oise, entitled: “Congress of mayors of Oise. The president of the Department dampens the mood with her speech on finances. (October 13, 2024)
Nadège Lefebvre would have gone into a rage. “No, I didn’t spoil the atmosphere.” And she wanted to insult directly Oise Hebdo on the Facebook page of the departmental council. She is dissuaded by the new communications manager of the department and it is at that moment that it is decided to find the means to destroy Oise Hebdo with the same obsession of Cato the Elder who wanted to destroy Carthage. (We went in 22 centuries from “Delenda est Carthago” to “Delenda est Oise Hebdo”, which does not demonstrate great progress for humanity.)
“ I was commissioned to bring down the newspaper », repeats the collaborator in question.
In addition to the fact that she worked for several days on the note, she cites as proof an exchange of messages with Clément Aouizerate, the president’s chief of staff.
She wrote to him: “As for the INPI, I was thinking about it. Once the brand is bought, you have to call on a lawyer who will issue a formal notice… If he doesn’t respond, it’s a lawsuit with financial penalties for each issue on the newsstands.”
And Clément Aouizerate replies: “Yes, so you need someone skilled to do that… not so easy to do.”
This seems to clearly demonstrate that Barbouze’s solution to blow up Oise Hebdo was indeed considered and studied in high places, at the Oise departmental council. It even seems that a journalist from Parisian was contacted to buy the title from the INPI but declined the invitation.
Oise Hebdo has no dispute with the departmental council
Finally, Oise Hebdo would like to say that he has no disagreement with the Departmental Council. Oise Hebdo also recalls that Frédéric Normand’s article on Nadège Lefebvre’s performance was in no way critical. Moreover, almost the entire article was content to repeat the president’s comments and it is not at all a criticism to say that her dire warnings about the financial situation of the department had the effect of ‘a cold shower on the elected officials present.
Oise Hebdo sometimes does not agree with the president’s political options. Oise Hebdo sometimes makes fun of the archaic management of the Department by a president who enjoys terrorizing those around her. Oise Hebdo sometimes makes fun of certain behaviors such as wearing a fake mayor’s scarf during a farmers’ demonstration when, theoretically, it has no right to do so.
But these are not disputes. These are opinions, comments and above all facts.
