A charity gala match for the fight against cancer that was to be held this Saturday, February 8. But the demonstration has been the subject of an outright cancellation by the municipality. Decision made less than 24 hours before rejoicing.

According to managers of the sports association, the town hall highlighted the recent bad weather. These would therefore have made the installations impassable, even dangerous for the participants.

“A unilateral decision”

The president of the US Mouy Kalid Boucheha was intended to be understanding. Without masking his bitterness. “It is a decision made unilaterally by the Mayor, for no truly explicit reason,” said the manager in a press release. “The terrains were surveyed and evaluated, despite the sharp opinions which argued in favor of maintaining the event”. Karim Boucheha comments: “We would have appreciated a more constructive dialogue to find a satisfactory solution. This “allowing this event to take place in safe conditions and in compliance with our commitments to the Association of Blue Sky and Matthieu.”

Another association in the crosshairs

Note that another event organized this Saturday, February 8, afternoon was canceled. It is a pancake sale by the holiday committee. In this specific case, the cloth has been burning for several months between the municipality of Mouy and the president of this association. The latter recently publicly accused Mayor Philippe Mauger “of hindering the proper functioning of the festival committee”, for three years.

A few months earlier, the elected official envisaged, during the municipal council of September 2024, to begin prosecution against the festival committee.
