The project was already the subject of discussions in 2016. But the amicable negotiations undertaken between the elected officials of Liancourt and GDF at the time had not been achieved. The city then wanted to acquire plots located rue du Vieux-Château and rue Latour belonging to the public gas distributor.
Eight years later, the municipal council held on Wednesday December 11 relaunched the project. Engie (formerly GDF), has “affirmed its intention to sell this land as part of a call for tenders open to private developers or a block sale of several sites”. And the town of Liancourt intends to position itself. This, by first creating a deferred development zone (ZAD) on the site. But also by contacting the Oise Public Land Establishment (EPFLO). The organization responsible for helping communities buy land for their projects must carry out their projects there.
To be built on one hectare
And Liancourt has an idea for these plots totaling less than one hectare. With various partners, the city intends to develop a housing complex. This would include:
- 40 housing units and 60 parking spaces (40 overhead spaces and 20 spaces on the ground floor of the building)
- 30 housing units in intermediate rental housing and 45 overhead parking spaces –
- 144 public parking spaces (118 overhead spaces and 36 spaces in underground parking).
At the start of the process
However, we will have to wait before the slightest building emerges from the ground, instead of an industrial wasteland. Those responsible are only at the very beginning of the procedure.
Files must be submitted to the prefecture and new deliberations taken in municipal council.
