Relax is the news media library free online from Department of theAisne : Films, press, music, magazines, self-training, educational games…
There will be something for all tastes and all ages, the Department of Aisne has just launched Relax, its new online media library and it is free and accessible to all Axonais.
Films, magazines, press…
At a time of the development of digital uses, it was natural for the Public Reading Service of the Department of Aisne to provide all of its residents with access to digital resources. This is done with Relax, which offers millions of online resources with free access: films, national and regional press, magazines, music, documentaries, mangas, children’s content, etc.
In order to succeed in the region’s digital transition and promote the digital inclusion of everyone, the Department also supports the general public through numerous mediation actions. Some of the 12 digital advisors recruited by the Departmental Council were, as such, present to support users with their registration and use of the new Relax interface during the event.
A budget of 76,000 euros per year
“Thanks to the support of the DRAC and despite our budgetary difficulties, we remain offensive on the major issue of developing public reading through this online media library which represents €76,000 in expenses per year,” underlines Nicolas Rébérot, the vice-president of the Aisne Departmental Council (VP), Cultural Action and Heritage. “We are proud to present Relax,” said Thomas Dudebout, VP, Transition and Digital Strategy. “Our objective is, of course, to promote access to culture and information. But it is also a measure of support for the purchasing power of the people of Axon! If, for a household, you add up the costs of subscription to video and music platforms, subscriptions to the press… This is a potential saving of several tens of euros per month, which the Department offers to all Axonais! »
Aisne is the only Hauts-de-France department to offer its residents completely free access to so many resources.
