The theater of Easel of Noyon opens the year 2025 with an eclectic program. Exhibition, show for young audiences and symphony concert make up a month of January which will appeal to families as well as art and music lovers.
A colorful exhibition: Totem
From January 14 to April 19, the Galerie du Chevalet hosts Totem, an exhibition dedicated to illustrations by Nathalie Dieterlé. Author and illustrator recognized for her children’s albums, here she shares her love of African culture through original drawings, under the sign of color.
The public is invited to meet the artist during the opening, scheduled for Tuesday, January 14 at 6 p.m.
Indulge yourself: a circus tribute to reading
Saturday January 18 at 4 p.m., the Compagnie du Contrevent offers a show bold mixing dance And circus. “Enlivrez-vous” celebrates the magic of books in a production where juggling, pirouettes and humor come together.
On stage, Anaël Chaval and Antoine Isnard-Dupuy manipulate books like living objects, embodying through them the emotions, concentration and reverie that reading provides. This show is aimed at children aged 3 and over and promises to captivate the whole family.
At the same time, the artists will share their secrets during an introductory juggling workshop, the same morning from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Free and accessible from 5 years old, this workshop will allow participants to create their own “choreography” around books.
Musical journey with the Orchester de Picardie
On Friday January 24 at 8:30 p.m., the Théâtre du Chevalet will vibrate to the sound of great classical works thanks to thePicardy Orchestradirected by David Niemann.
The program highlights the Violin Concerto in G minor by Guirne Creith, an English composer whose work is among the great concertos of the 20th century. Violinist Geneviève Laurenceau will perform.
In addition, the orchestra will offer two monuments from the symphonic repertoire: The Freischütz Overture by Carl Maria von Weber and the famous New World Symphony by Antonin Dvořák. An evening combining virtuosity, emotion and modernity, ideal for classical music lovers and the curious.
