In a letter addressed to Cantilian,, Isabelle wojtowiezthe mayor of Whipped creamannounces that she will not be represented at theMunicipal election of 2026. “This decision, carefully thought out, was difficult to make and this letter will illuminate the cantilians on the reasons which led me to make this choice,” specifies the elected official.
Isabelle Wojtowiez has been elected from Chantilly for 23 years. “At first, I put myself at the service of all the cantilians, as deputy mayor, successively to school issues, early childhood, youth and technical services,” she recalls. I have continued this commitment as mayor since July 2017. ” His first election as mayor followed the Mayor’s resignation then in place, Eric Woerth. The latter, as a deputy, is indeed “affected” by the law on the non -cumulation of mandates.
Already 23 years old in the cantilian service
“For more than 20 years, supported by the confidence that the Cantilians have shown me and by the benevolence of my family, I have devoted my energy and put my skills at the service of others and the common good,” continues Isabelle Wojtowiez. I practice my functions with sincerity, humility and voluntarism. I have never forced the smiles I addressed to the cantilians. I have always practiced a language of truth and sought balance in my decisions. I wanted to be close to everyone… ”
For seven years, and despite the crises that the city had to face, Chantilly has held its rank. “This is why we like to live there,” smiles the mayor.
COVID and the increase in energy costs
The current mandate, the one that extends from 2020 to 2026, is punctuated by many difficulties. “The COVLD19 crisis, completely unpredictable, has considerably slowed our activity and our projects for more than a year,” says Isabelle Wojtowiez. But we organized innovative forms of solidarity and we have emerged different, perhaps even deeply changed. Then the energy crisis and the inflation of the prices that resulted from the war in Ukraine weighed heavily on our budgets, both that of your families and that of our city. Finally, today, the difficulties linked to public defects and an abyssal debt, of which the State is the first responsible, restrict our means of orienting our future as quickly as we would like. ”
Despite these difficulties, the projects presented in March 2020 are, essentially, either finished or well committed. “The locker rooms of the Bourgognes stadium are over, lists the mayor of Chanilly. The singing rooster nursery school is being renovated. The station development work will start in the first quarter of 2025 and the renovation and extension project of the Bouteiller room will be ready at the end of 2025. We consolidated our services to the cantilians and modernized our administration. We supported | Economy, improved the quality of our environment, and reduces our carbon footprint. Public tranquility is ensured. The city remains little indebted and we do the maximum to master our operating expenses and not abuse tax burden. We will continue in the same direction until the end of our mandate. ”
“The Cantilians have the right to the truth”
So why this decision not to lead a list in fifteen months? “The Cantilians are entitled to the truth,” said Isabelle Wojtowiez. This is what I believe in politics: truth, loyalty and loyalty. I also believe that we need to renew our approach to politics, and to make a better place for new generations who will be able to make a long -term commitment to Chantilly. It is also to avoid any comments – there will still be – and not to put the cantilians, just a few weeks before the electoral deadlines of March 2026, before an unexpected situation leading to risky improvisations. In 2021, I was affected by an important health problem. I chose to let nothing appear. I continued to assume all my functions and responsibilities, out of passion for Chantilly and its inhabitants, out of respect for the commitments that I made at their service, and also out of duty, the exemplarity being the primary requirement of an elected official . Also, I do not plan to lead a campaign and to assume a possible electoral mandate without the force which is necessary. ”
His passion for Chantilly remains intact
His passion for Chantilly remains intact. “The mandate that I was entrusted in 2020 forces me,” concludes the elected official. I will therefore conduct it to its end and continue the work started until March 2026 with my team from the municipal majority. Let us continue to do it, each in its place, everything that can be done for the good of Chantilly and the service of all the cantilians. I thank these for their confidence. ”
A page will therefore turn to Chantilly with the departure of Isabelle Wojtiwiez. And, already, a question arises: who will lead the list from the current municipal majority in 2026? François Kernthe first assistant could lead the future team. But a return of deputy Eric Woerth, especially if he loses his place after a next dissolution, cannot be excluded. However, it is said to Chantilly that the favorite, to lead this list, is none other than Florence Woerththe current finance assistant of Isabelle Wojtowiez. Eric Woerth’s wife has never denied this possibility.
