Grandfresnoy. Parents of students switch to speed against the closure of a class

“Having had no return to our intervention with the rectorate”, the parents of Grandfresnoy pupils go up a gear. They laid posters in shops and banners to denounce the announced closure of a class at the Zocqs school, at the start of the school year in September.

The Zocqs school (named after a Grandfresnoy district) has 186 students divided into eight classes, small sections of kindergarten to CM2.

“This decrease in staff is only temporary”

The drop in staff of Grandfresnoy students is temporary, say the parents. “This year, the overall workforce is suffering from the departure of a large number of CM2 against a lower arrival of children in small section,” they calculate.
