A elderly woman has been mortally overturned on the Departmental 1032 Between Compiègne and Noyon, in the evening of this Wednesday, February 19, reports Picard mail.
She was traveling on foot on the D1032 when, near the village of Giraumontit was struck by a motorist, on this 2 × 2 lanes limited to 110 km/h. The victim did not survive the shock.
The motorist had neither alcohol nor drugs
A gendarmerie investigation was opened to shed light on the circumstances of the accident. As is customary, the motorist was subjected to alcohol and narcotics screening. The two proved to be negative.
The firefighters were mobilized on this accident. They took care of the motorist and his passenger. Unhappy but in shock, they were transported to the Compiègne hospital center.
