France’s path to victory was paved by a dramatic four-point play by Matthew Strazel in the final seconds of regulation, tying the game and forcing overtime. Strazel, who finished with 17 points, was praised by Wembanyama for making “the shot of his life.”

Spain emerged victorious with an 84-77 win over Greece, significantly impacting Greece’s chances of moving forward in the tournament. Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 27 points were not enough to lift Greece past Spain.
