From February 22 to March 29, 2025, through songs returns for its 32nd edition, still as vibrant and eclectic. This year, the Festival offers you a program that echoes new trends in the French -speaking music scene. Unpublished concerts, emerging artists and friendly meetings in various places in the region, both at the MJC-Espace Athena in Saint-Saulve and outside the walls, everywhere around Valenciennes Métropole.
Programming outside the walls
Le festival commence fort avec un concert à Quérénaing le 22 février à 20h avec le groupe Le Bruit des Pavés. Entre influences des Ogres de Barback et de Debout sur le Zinc, ce groupe nous promet une soirée dynamique et pleine d’énergie (10 €). On March 8, William Schotte invited you to discover “The latest news from Flanders” in Marly, a free performance where the multidisciplinary artist mixes texts and music (free). Finally, on March 28, it was Lou Casa who performed at the Barbara Espace in Petite-Forêt with his tribute to Jacques Brel, after a rereading of Barbara songs (€ 22 / € 11).
MJC programming-Athena space in Saint-Saulve
On March 14, do not miss the duo Lubiana and Nach – Anna Chédid (€ 20 / € 17) for an intimate performance between Kora and Piano. On March 16, place to emotion with Alexis HK and Benoît Dorémus (€ 15 / € 12), followed by the playful discovery of Sapritch, an original show to demystify the music theory on March 18 (€ 8 / € 6). On March 21, expect an offbeat evening with Laurent Madiot and Hélène Piris, who will deliver their universes of songs and humor (€ 15 / € 12). On March 22, Agnès Jaoui will be on stage, a unique event for her 20 years of career, with her latest album sung in French (25 € / 22 €).
On March 25, a show for young audiences entitled Miam (€ 8 / € 6), promises to delight the youngest from 6 years old. And to finish in style, on March 29 will see a great festive final with Johnny Montreuil and the 3 cheeses, in an electric and dancing atmosphere, a real surge of generosity and madness (20 € / 17 €).
