Despite the budgetary unknown, Sérifontaine will continue to invest to lower energy bills

But the national budgetary context filled with uncertainty could have slowed down the municipality of Sérifontaine (Oise) in its investment momentum to make lower your energy bills. This is not the case. In any case, this is what Mayor Pascal Auger announced during the municipality’s greetings ceremony on Saturday January 11.

A €600,000 project

The work of passing public lighting into 100% LED will begin in the first half of 2025. In total, 680 light points will be changed. Despite the budgetary unknown and the fact that we do not have a vision for 2025, we will continue to invest to lower our energy bills. We are the guarantor of public funds.»

In 2024, several works have been carried out in this direction. At the town hall, for example, the windows were changed for €15,700. The attic of the town hall as well as those of the schools were insulated for €11,000. And thermostats have been installed in buildings. This year, energy audits will be carried out to find out which places consume the most energy.

City stadium, church study, intergenerational residence…

Other projects are expected to be completed in 2025. city ​​stadiumwhich was to be rehabilitated last year, will normally be rehabilitated this year. A complete study on potential work to be carried out on the church will be made, to receive a maximum of subsidies. “This will take place over several years», warns the mayor. A columbarium twenty-four places will be installed in the cemetery, at a cost of €18,000, normally subsidized by the department.

Finally, the intergenerational residence located along the D915 should be built at the beginning of June. “I invite those interested to make a request at the town hall», specifies Pascal Auger. Two public meetings will be organized on February 27 at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. to discuss the subject. As a reminder, 41 accommodations are offered: one studio, eleven T2s, twenty-two T3s and seven T4s.
