We will no longer see his famous mustache in the streets of Crisolleshis village. Gérard Lecomteformer mayor of this commune of Noyonnais died at the age of 70. Long-term ill, Gérard Lecomte passed away on the evening of Monday, December 16.
Gérard Lecomte’s reputation extended well beyond the borders of his small town of a thousand inhabitants. Mayor of Crisolles for nearly 20 years, from 1995 to 2014, Gérard Lecomte, a left-wing member of the Socialist Partywas also elected to the general council of Oise from 2004 to 2011. He participated in the majority of Yves Rome.
Civilian teacher
A teacher by training, he held a thesis in geology. He had taught natural sciences for many years at the Jean Calvin high school in Noyon, and before that at the Gay Lussac high school in Chauny in Aisne.
As mayor of Crisolles, he was known in particular for having bought the former military land of the town and having transformed it into a medieval theme park, Parc Carisiolas. The park closed in 2019 after helping many people in reintegration situations, employed by the association.
Rugby fans also remember a lover of the oval ball. He had played in particular at RC Compiègne.
