On November 25, the trial will open for several days relating to a case which cost the lives of two young people from the Creillois area, at the end of 2020.
On Thursday September 24, 2020, the body of a lifeless man was found along the tracks of theHighway A1 (Paris/Lille), up to Pontarménext to Senlis. Three days later, another young man was found seriously injured in the neighborhood of the Commanderyhas Nogent-sur-Oise. He will not survive his injuries. The investigation will show that the two “affairs” are closely linked.
However, strangely, the Oise Assize Court will initially only examine the first case, the one which cost the life of Elijah Bougrer-Cinq-Val, who was only 20 years old at the time of the events. .
He leaves with colleagues, he will never come back
On September 24, Elijah Bougrer-Cinq-Val is watching a football match at his father’s house in Verneuil-en-Halatte. His girlfriend is there. A group of people, whom the young man seems to know, then introduce themselves. Elijah Bougrer-Cinq-Val comes out in shorts and flip-flops. He doesn’t take his papers, his credit cards, or his keys. He tells his father and girlfriend “he’ll be back in 10 minutes.” Unfortunately, he will never return… During the night, investigators warn his relatives that the young man was the victim of an accident on the A1 motorway.
Elijah Bougrer-Cinq-Val was a big guy. Not one to give up. He has never had any problems with the law. “He was an honest, hardworking young man, who had been employed for several years at Engie as a sales representative,” explain those close to him. His job was to contact customers to see how they could optimize their electricity consumption. Contact work that he appreciated.
The accident theory does not hold up
A priori, it was work colleagues who notified the emergency services, citing an accident. A theory that the victim’s family never believed in. “There is something that doesn’t add up,” Elijah Bougrer-Cinq-Val’s mother said at the time. For my part, I am firmly convinced, there was an argument that went bad and for me, the death occurred before the highway. They developed this version to dispose of my son’s body…”
Three days after the events, two of the three occupants of the Clio III, in which Elijah Bougrer-Cinq-Val was boarded in Verneuil-en-Halatte, were found in a cellar of a building in the Commanderie district, in Nogent- sur-Oise. They were “kidnapped” in Chantilly. They are attacked by a group of young people who are apparently trying to find out what happened three days earlier. Among the two people attacked was Wesley Askri who was found dying a few hours later. Taken to the emergency room of Creil hospital, he succumbed…
“Kidnapping, sequestration followed by death”
The third occupant of the Clio III was “kidnapped” in Cauffry some time later. He too will suffer violence. This is Adama Coulibaly. Detained since October 15, 2020, he will be the only accused to appear this November 25 for “kidnapping, sequestration followed by death”.
In this double affair, eighteen people were indicted. Among the charges: arrest, kidnapping, kidnapping or arbitrary detention followed by death in an organized gang, aggravated willful violence, extortion with weapons, failure to report a crime or even failure to assist a person in danger… Thirteen people were placed in pre-trial detention and five under judicial supervision.
150 gendarmes mobilized
Several of these eighteen people will sit on November 25 on the benches of the civil parties. This is perhaps the reason for the “disjunction” of these two cases which, at first glance, are only one…
A judicial investigation was opened in October 2020. The investigation, entrusted to the Amiens research section and the Chantilly gendarmerie research brigade, concluded with two large operations in December 2020 and mobilized more than 150 gendarmes.
All persons indicted in this case remain presumed innocent of the acts with which they are accused.
