There are not many activities between the two Christmas holidays and New Year’s Day, so when there is an event set up in the neighborhoods, it is clear that it attracts people.
An ice rink in Montataire
Until December 26 at 7 p.m., at the initiative of the SA HLM de l’Oise, an ice rink is installed in the heart of the Martinets district as well as games on the principle of the giant log. The initiative is appreciated in this neighborhood where not much usually happens during this holiday season. The ice rink is located on Esplanade Fernand Tuil. Suffice it to say that the children will still rush out this last day to make some lovely slides under, which doesn’t spoil anything, a beautiful winter sun.
On the Martinets side, still, pallets, scraps of wood, old furniture and pieces of all kinds are starting to arrive for the usual, forbidden, but ultimately tolerated, New Year’s blaze. Will it break height records this year ?
You won’t have to wait long to find out. Just a few days.
A new face for the neighborhood in Creil
In Creil, the mayor, Sophie Lehner is more than ever on the ground. Between a little note for the Christmas holidays and neighborhood events, suffice to say that the first magistrate doesn’t have a minute left.
A few days before Christmas, “act 1” of the “A New Face for my Neighborhood” event took place. Objective: to experience a moment in the company of residents intended to mark the start of the transformation of the neighborhood. And as we are in the middle of the end-of-year celebration period, there was of course an ice rink, an artistic parade, a video projection telling the history of the neighborhood, but also a presence of the educational farm and a release of lanterns.
“And this is just the beginning,” promised the mayor who gave “an appointment in February 2025 for act 2”
