THE firefighters of Departmental fire and rescue service (Sdis) of theOise intervened this Wednesday, January 1 for a pipe break on avenue Antoine-Chanut Creil.
The basement of a building on Avenue Antoine-Chanut was flooded following a burst pipe. This basement of approximately 300m2 was invaded by nearly 480 m3 of water according to an estimate from Sdis de l’Oise.
On site, firefighters carried out reconnaissance using a team specializing in water rescue.
Two families made up of three adults and two children were supported by the town hall, but their rehousing was not necessary.
The firefighters then proceeded to pump the water with a large capacity pump, capable of sucking up 8,000 liters per minute.
