During the last community council, Thursday, November 21, the elected officials of the community of municipalities voted for a new credit opening for the benefit of the health service. The objective: to recruit a new doctor during 2025.
“With this new arrival, we will have the equivalent of six full-time doctors,” adds Lionel Ollivier, mayor of Clermont and president of Pays du Clermontois. For the moment, the health center has 4 doctors, two full-time, plus retired practitioners working a few hours part-time.
A new site in 2027
First created by the city of Clermont alone in 2023, the health center was quickly transferred under the control of the community of municipalities. Even if the municipalities, individually, must make a similar decision in municipal council. The city of Clermont opened the way during its meeting on Monday, November 25.
The service is currently located on rue de Verdun. But he must move in the next few years. When a new building will be built in place of the old Gazeau gymnasium, rue Wenceslas-Coutellier. The new site is scheduled to open in 2027.

If Lionel Ollivier seems satisfied with this service, the mayor of Breuil-le-Vert Jean-Philippe Vichard shows a slight difference. “We should make an effort on communication,” insists the elected official. “There are still residents who are not aware of the existence of the health center.” And who later come to blame the mayor for the absence of a doctor in their village.
