Thirty-five exhibitors from Hauts-de-France, Paris, Reims… And more than a hundred visitors. The Cœurs Solidaires de Compiègne association organized its first Christmas fair at the Saint-Nicolas rooms on Saturday November 30.
There you could admire or buy jewelry, personalized clothing, interior decoration objects… And some curiosities like superb candles decorated with gold and diamonds. Lovers of delicacies were not left out with oriental pastries (Morocco or Türkiye) or pies and sweets.
A henna specialist gave demonstrations while another offered to discover African massages, a source of well-being and relaxation.
“We wondered if this show would please people”
“We didn’t know if this show would be popular and we are reassured,” confides Donia Aït Ouarra, president of Cœurs Solidaires, accompanied by Mourad Dergaoui, secretary of the association, Anne Sénéchal, assistant secretary, and Mandra Hagua, assistant treasurer.
Many have been “working” in the social field for a long time, sometimes around twenty years. This desire to mobilize to help others is the center of the association’s actions.
Other initiatives are already planned, such as two flea markets. The first on Easter Sunday near the association’s headquarters on rue de l’Epargne, the second in June at Pentecost on the vast green corridor of Royallieu.
