In a statement sent this Wednesday, January 29, the public prosecutor of Compiègne Guillaume Dupont reveals that a couple was placed in police custody this Monday, January 27.
The man was checked by the Compiégnois police under the influence of cannabis while he was driving. On the occasion of the search made in his vehicle, the police discovered “a cache fitted out in which multiple cannabis pouches, representing several hundred grams, in addition to the seizure of 1,500 euros in several cuts”.
The already known man of justice
The Compiègne prosecutor’s office then ordered a second search, at the person’s home this time. The latter allowed the discovery of 700 grams of cannabis resin “which were hidden in a coat and a race bag in a room used for storage”.
The man was placed in police custody. He is 38 years old, unemployed, and is already unfavorably known to the police and justice services.
His partner has also been the subject of a placement in police custody, the Compiégnois prosecution suspecting it of complicity in drug trafficking. She is 39 years old and, unlike her companion, has no history.

The prosecution has ordered banking investigations. “(This) made it possible to seize the sum of 11,000 euros registered on the bank account of Monsieur,” confirms the prosecutor in his press release.
