“We will have 35 exhibitors. Virtually the same as in 2023!”, announces Patrick Verrier. This organizes the 28th Antiques, flea market and crafts fairSaturday December 14 and Sunday December 15 at Saint-Nicolas de Compiègne rooms.
“Hand-picked professionals,” describes the Compiègne antiques dealer. This show continues to be successful. It generates a lot of sales.” Three thousand visitors attend this event each year, including the invitation-only inauguration evening on Friday evening.
“We can find furniture from the 18th century or so-called “vintage” furniture (1940s to 1960s) which are on the rise,” describes Patrick Verrier. There is no predominant style. In any case, we don’t sell contemporary.”
The Saint-Nicolas rooms before a return to Victory in 2025
As the Victoire meeting center is still under construction, the Salon is being held at the Saint-Nicolas rooms, at 3 rue Jeanne D’Arc in Compiègne. Just like in 2023, and just like when it premiered in 1995.
At the time, Patrick Verrier chaired the Saint-Nicolas district merchants’ association. It brought together the shops on the streets of Grand Ferré, General Leclerc, Trois Barbeaux and Saint-Nicolas.
“At the end of the year, we did an event at the Saint-Nicolas rooms,” recalls Patrick Verrier, who ran the Ambre Antiquités boutique, rue du Grand Ferré. It worked well and it became the antiques flea market the following year.”
Professionals will exhibit their pieces: lighting fixtures, old perfume bottles, linen, books, silverware, goldwork, etc.
28th Antiques, flea market and crafts fair, Saturday December 14 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday December 15 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Saint-Nicolas rooms in Compiègne. Entrance: €5.
