Charlie Hebdo, Montrouge, Hyper Cacher. A ceremony for all the victims of the January attacks takes place on Sunday January 12 at 11 a.m. in front of the city hall of Margny-lès-Compiègne.
Bernard Hellal, mayor of Margny-lès-Compiègne, and Jean-Pierre Weisselberg, former founding president of Agora 21, are at the initiative of this citizen gathering.
“Know the past to envision the future”
Its aim is to “pay homage to those who died for our freedom,” confides Jean-Pierre Weisselberg. “Freedom, the most beautiful word in the French language… he considers. Ten years later, we will remember and we will all gather together. Those who forget or do not know the past cannot envisage the future.”
He asks participants to come with family and friends, “with signs magnifying freedom of expression”.
