End of the truce. 2025 is just beginning and Olivier Cappelaire is already sowing some stones in view of the municipal elections in Cauffry of 2026. Starting by investing in social networks. This, to present his team’s project.
It has already been a few months since the former elected official of the city – he resigned as soon as he was elected in 2020 – has been preparing the next electoral campaign. He can already count around him a hard core of 20 people. The name of the future list has already been found: “Cauffry pour Tous 2026”.
“Giving a facelift to the town”
“This project must bring together all the Cauffriots without opposing them,” explain Virginie Garnier’s possible adversaries in their very first leaflet. “It must lay the groundwork necessary for associations to develop, unlike what we have seen in recent years.”
The future candidates add: “Our project also aims to give a facelift to our town, its infrastructure, its traffic routes and prevent the effects of climate change. We also have a robust social and societal component.” And to already make some promises. Like developing local commerce, but also “the presence of businesses (…) in order to create jobs.” But also a realistic project with participatory democracy.
Already elected in 2020
Olivier Cappelaire manages an organic products company in Beauvais. He is also the president of the traders’ association of the ZAC of Ther, still in the capital of the department.
He was already part of the Cauffry municipal council, even briefly. He was elected in 2020… on Virginie Garnier’s list. Then resigned a few months later.
