We can’t say that the weather is ideal for going running this Sunday, December 8. One of the repercussions of the Darragh storm… But that didn’t stop the town from Tillénear Beauvais, to maintain its entire first bullfight. According to Mayor Catherine Martin, who symbolically gave the start, a little more than 400 runners lined up for the 5 km and 10 km races.
A success despite the weather. After the adults, it was the children who ran. Around 150 young people under the age of 13 set out over distances ranging from 500 meters to 3 km.
Residents meet
Just after departure, Catherine Martin was delighted with the organization of this first bullfight in the town. “We had many partners», she congratulates. Not to mention the support of the residents who, despite a few cars still parked in the streets, for the most part played the game. According to the mayor, a good part of the fifty or so volunteers are also residents of Tillé.
The prize giving ceremony takes place at midday in the community hall. The future of the race has not yet been officially decided. But Catherine Martin does not hide her desire to make it an annual event.
